Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nildo Matos kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Seagulls booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Rexino. Aurelio Rexino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Seagulls's Nildo Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Marco Mook reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melvin Plagge kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Nildo Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Rexino having to interfere. Cristian Sancho scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Rexino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Rexino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Ben Rensenbrink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Seagulls's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Rexino came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aurelio Rexino. That made the score 1-4 after 56 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melvin Plagge during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melvin Plagge to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Aurelio Rexino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seagulls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Aurelio Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Nildo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Cremers in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelio Rexino. Aurelio Rexino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 85th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Seagulls's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelio Rexino quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ben Rensenbrink hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Rexino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Sturkenboom kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
