Geirhvatur Ómarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. Claudio Patricelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22ndth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Patricelli having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geirhvatur Ómarsson in the 33rd minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geirhvatur Ómarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli. Claudio Patricelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Patricelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Patricelli having to interfere. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Patricelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Patricelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The Balla 1926 fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Geirhvatur Ómarsson made the kick off in the second half. Claudio Patricelli made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Claudio Patricelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Balla 1926 fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli managed to reach the ball for a save. 56 minutes into the match, Balla 1926 fc's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Claudio Patricelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Patricelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudio Patricelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudio Patricelli having to make a save. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudio Patricelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Balla 1926 fc booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudio Patricelli. That made the score 0-3 after 76 minutes of play. In the 82nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Patricelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Balla 1926 fc getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Geirhvatur Ómarsson hit a great ball. Claudio Patricelli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 86 minute of play. Claudio Patricelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Ecuador played a much better game than Balla 1926 fc and deserved their victory. The Balla 1926 fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
