The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Arruda took the kick off in the first half of the match. Per-Olof Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Arruda in the 13th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes MengãOShowS - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Donato Prado. In the 18th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Mourinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute of play forced MengãOShowS - FDFDF's goalkeeper Jose Mourinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Mourinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
