A collision led to Flores Arlt getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Guaberto Henry hit a great ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flores Arlt's goalkeeper Efrain Guillem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Efrain Guillem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Flores Arlt's Sabin Răchită. But to his dismay, Sabin Răchită quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 95th minute, Sabin Răchită made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Peru played a much better game than Flores Arlt and deserved their victory. The Flores Arlt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
