Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. In the 7thth minute of the game Marcial Ourente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Marcial Ourente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Flores Arlt's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Efrain Guillem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Ourente in the 26th minute of play. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Guillem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Efrain Guillem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Edelmiro Osmundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Efrain Guillem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Erruki kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Efrain Guillem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Ourente to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute Marcial Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flores Arlt made a substitution. Sabin Răchită replaced Marcial Ourente. Flores Arlt's Jeremias Jaunti was substituted for Edelmiro Osmundo. 65 minutes into the game, Gerardo Bedoya threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Flores Arlt getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lin Wei Feng hit a great ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Kevin Mastache struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Efrain Guillem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Flores Arlt's Efrain Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Carballar in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Flores Arlt booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Ignacio Mastache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes Flores Arlt's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Mastache who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Abram Secada heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, Flores Arlt's Efrain Guillem got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santino Seco in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efrain Guillem saved Flores Arlt from getting behind. Luis Cazalla got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kevin Mastache. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Flores Arlt fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
