Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Laurendi in the 15th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Arrecifes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Laurendi in the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Efraim Gilabert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peru and the Arrecifes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hipolito Laurendi was the one to do the kick off.
