After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Edwin Lindgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gage Pillai. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gage Pillai. Beagan Colwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Shafiq Sim in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. 24 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gage Pillai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Israel Reno kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Luca Espinar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes Walthamstow got a freekick which was hit by Faizal Tan. After a defensive mix-up in Walthamstow's zone, Moises Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gage Pillai came out of the goal and Moises Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gage Pillai was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Walthamstow's Gage Pillai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Beagan Colwell came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Honduras's Moises Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gage Pillai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 2-6 from a short distance just to the right of Gage Pillai. Disappointed in the 2-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Gage Pillai when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gage Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Edwin Lindgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walthamstow fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-7. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience was convinced that Edwin Lindgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwin Lindgren in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Gage Pillai skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gage Pillai saved Walthamstow from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gage Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match Israel Reno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro skillfully saved the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beagan Colwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Luca Espinar fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Luca Espinar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Luca Espinar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beagan Colwell's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Walthamstow's Gage Pillai got control of the ball when Sebastian Villa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The long shot by Luca Espinar in the 93rd minute really tested Gage Pillai's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a little luck, Walthamstow's Gage Pillai got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Beagan Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walthamstow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beagan Colwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
