Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gage Pillai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Beagan Colwell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Edwin Lindgren took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Beagan Colwell tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 28 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Gage Pillai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Lautaro Puig made a precise shot to the right of Gage Pillai. Walthamstow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Edwin Lindgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Israel Reno made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Walthamstow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faizal Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gage Pillai having to make a save. Israel Reno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Axel Tasis made a precise shot to the right of Gage Pillai. Walthamstow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. 82 minutes into the game, Edwin Lindgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-3. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 91 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Walthamstow players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beagan Colwell went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-3 was the resulting score. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Gage Pillai made a huge save. 98 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gage Pillai. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 8-4. When the referee ended the match the Walthamstow players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
