Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Leon Matthäus made the kick off and thus started the match. After 7 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. In the 9th match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Elequemedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Primo Speranza skillfully saved the ball. Leon Matthäus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Julio Vera was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Leon Matthäus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leon Matthäus really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Academia 1903 were awarded a corner. Harald Ek went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Harald Ek almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Primo Speranza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primo Speranza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Harald Ek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Matthäus came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Leon Matthäus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primo Speranza having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Leon Matthäus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Timoteo Columbo replaced Leon Matthäus. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Gérard Magyar replaced Harald Ek. After 66 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Academia 1903 players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Julio Vera had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Timoteo Columbo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo. But to his dismay, Timoteo Columbo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Columbo in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timoteo Columbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timoteo Columbo scored 4-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Columbo in the 83rd minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Timoteo Columbo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Academia 1903 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Columbo couldn't finish the play.
