After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Talat Başdemir managed to get in a good position for a shot. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI's supporters rose to their feet, but Talat Başdemir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Videl made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Ivan Prats. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Talat Başdemir went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute Talat Başdemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julián López sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julián López in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. After having played for 38 minutes, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Erdiano in the 40th minute of the match. Julián López's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The Paraguay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Erdiano to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Daniel Erdiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Erdiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Campos to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Talat Başdemir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Erdiano in the 66th minute of the match. Daniel Erdiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacobo Nores came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Erdiano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 67th minute. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Talat Başdemir. In the 75th minute of the match DEPORTIVO CHINCHI got a corner. Paraguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Talat Başdemir ran over to the corner to take the kick. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI's Gonzalo Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Erdiano in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Daniel Erdiano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, DEPORTIVO CHINCHI's Damaso Munio got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Raul Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Talat Başdemir sent off a good shot on target. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Paraguay's much stronger midfield.
