Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myroslav Akymenko in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pylyp Vitvitskyi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 5th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the game, Mykyta Gvozdevych recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Mykyta Gvozdevych showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Duda Vargas hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Yarema Rybka fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ruh Lviv's protests and gave Yarema Rybka a yellow card for diving instead. FC Ruh Lviv's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to FC Ruh Lviv getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Danylo Lobanovsjkyi hit a great ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. FC Ruh Lviv's Myroslav Akymenko got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Ruh Lviv's Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Duda Vargas took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Myroslav Akymenko in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Ruh Lviv fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when FC Ruh Lviv's Myroslav Akymenko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Duda Vargas made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Mykyta Gvozdevych received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Pylyp Vitvitskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Myroslav Akymenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. FC Ruh Lviv's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vyacheslav Androsenko in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Ruh Lviv's Dmytro Zorya got a free kick in the 91st minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Ruh Lviv's Marcelo Barovero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Ruh Lviv from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ruh Lviv's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the FC Ruh Lviv players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
