Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) SE Palestra Itália's Betão Vargas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, SE Palestra Itália's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Betão Vargas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tony Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 7th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. When Adalberto Custódio came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the SE Palestra Itália fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Custódio couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clayton Sergi. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clayton Sergi in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão Vargas in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 played minutes SE Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Betão Vargas. Alfredão Corrêa made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Clayton Sergi however managed to control. After a rather tough play, SE Palestra Itália's Cesinha Vale got a free kick in the 30th minute. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when SE Palestra Itália's Clayton Sergi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Acar Buğrahan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Acar Buğrahan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 39th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Adalberto Custódio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Custódio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Vargas in the 55th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Clayton Sergi made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. SE Palestra Itália's Bruno Dias was substituted for Caetano Félix. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palestra Itália's Betão Vargas. But to his dismay, Betão Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 75th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Sergi in the 78th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. In the 86th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Dias made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Clayton Sergi immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Cristóvão Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Cristóvão Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SE Palestra Itália's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
