The Unidad de Matanza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 29th minute, Nestor Bâru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andres van der Sar. The goal made the score 2-0. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Bâru in the 36th minute of play. Nestor Bâru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Andres van der Sar made a huge save. In the 38th match minute, MONTANHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save MONTANHA from getting a goal against them. Unidad de Matanza's Venancio Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Matos in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nestor Bâru made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in MONTANHA's zone, Nestor Bâru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres van der Sar came out of the goal and Nestor Bâru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nestor Bâru came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Unidad de Matanza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Bâru couldn't finish the play. Unidad de Matanza's Michal Stehno was substituted for Nestor Bâru. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind MONTANHA's goalkeeper Andres van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Stehno in the 60th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Andres van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Martins. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Stehno in the 67th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Andres van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Stehno came free, but Andres van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wei Guang Xing got free with Venancio Cristofol in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Martins in the 76th minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Venancio Cristofol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unidad de Matanza's Venancio Cristofol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Unidad de Matanza from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Gonçalo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Maarten Aelbrecht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Máximo Kirchner scored 3-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andres van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Unidad de Matanza fans cheered their team off the field, for while MONTANHA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
