Afonso Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Salcedo having to interfere. Cruz Salcedo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Murillo Martins sent off a good shot on target. Cruz Salcedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Walec in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MONTANHA's zone, 王桑辰 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres van der Sar came out of the goal and 王桑辰 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goal looked a bit too open when 王桑辰 came free, but Andres van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruz Salcedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wei Guang Xing's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Martins in the 27th minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Cruz Salcedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murillo Martins in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cruz Salcedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cruz Salcedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo Martins's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. If Afonso Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruz Salcedo was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Czeslaw Walec capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Czeslaw Walec really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After 44 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Trancoso. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after MONTANHA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cagua Vilarrubia took the corner. After taking down the ball on Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's corner Jacobo Ortzi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andres van der Sar quite easily take care of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 52nd minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Cruz Salcedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Guerra's late challenge caught a Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Ortzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Cruz Salcedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Martins in the 71st minute of play. But to his dismay, Wei Guang Xing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 75 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Martins came free, but Cruz Salcedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wei Guang Xing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Cruz Salcedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
