Deportivo Mandiyu's attentive Alberto Honrio managed to snatch the ball when Nahuel Molina made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Nicolás Valentini took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Eulalio Bastian to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes in the game Alberto Honrio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rayan MacQueen. After 25 minutes, Nahuel Molina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Candela FC and the Deportivo Mandiyu players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to La Candela FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nahuel Molina hit a great ball. In the 26th match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nahuel Molina to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Sánchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquito Benítez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Luis Medero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquito Benítez in the 31st minute of play. Ruben Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Remir, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. La Candela FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastián Battaglia in the 40th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Deportivo Mandiyu's goalie and right to Walter Samuel. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Leonides Remir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes, Leonides Remir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mandiyu and the La Candela FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Candela FC booed when Deportivo Mandiyu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Remir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Bastian came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by La Candela FC's Nicolás Valentini. But to his dismay, Nicolás Valentini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chiquito Benítez was the one to do the kick off. Luis Medero took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eulalio Bastian. Eulalio Bastian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Alberto Honrio fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Alberto Honrio a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Honrio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. La Candela FC's Claudio Marangoni was substituted for Cristian Medina. In the 66th minute, Claudio Marangoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Arne Bronco replaced Leonides Remir. After 67 played minutes La Candela FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Marangoni. Benigno Larpes short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Ruben Sánchez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 77 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benigno Larpe.
