Zhu Bin Kun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cruz Salcedo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhu Bin Kun in the 8th minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Cruz Salcedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cruz Salcedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 12th minute of the match. Eulalio Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Ortzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Mandiyu were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pipis Vattimos took the corner. Alejo Bermudo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Cruz Salcedo 25 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Zhu Bin Kun came free, but Cruz Salcedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 王桑辰 in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Bastian saved Deportivo Mandiyu from getting behind. A collision led to Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Zorion Oña hit a great ball. Zhu Bin Kun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cruz Salcedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's zone, Zhu Bin Kun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cruz Salcedo came out of the goal and Zhu Bin Kun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Zhu Bin Kun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jacobo Ortzi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Ortzi couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zhu Bin Kun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 王桑辰 in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Cruz Salcedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Zhu Bin Kun came free, but Cruz Salcedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jacobo Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espinosa Manteca charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Espinosa Manteca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Espinosa Manteca kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 王桑辰 in the 88th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Eulalio Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Mandiyu's attentive Florian Petruzzi managed to snatch the ball when Ponce Infante made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayan MacQueen in the 93rd minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Cruz Salcedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Roberto Cherro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Ortzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Deportivo Mandiyu manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato to win.
