Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateusz Smolarek in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 17th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Alfredo Torelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Mateusz Smolarek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 31st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Torelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Torelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Manfredonia Calcio 1932 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ramón Antia hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateusz Smolarek's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The supporters of Manfredonia Calcio 1932 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 45th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Ernesto Giandomenico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Mateusz Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Mateusz Smolarek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Alfredo Torelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Ernesto Giandomenico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Giandomenico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Antonio Melani was substituted for Arturo Borrelli. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 76th minute of the match. After 82 minutes, Mateusz Smolarek made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Torelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Mateusz Smolarek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manfredonia Calcio 1932 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
