Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Walter Zenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walter Zenga was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zenga having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Augustin Vergulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Augustin Vergulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Walter Zenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Walter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of the match. When Scorpions -MM-'s Costel Ţintă in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Zenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walter Zenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Augustin Vergulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scorpions -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Vergulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Scorpions -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Dobos to maneuver through the defense. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Walter Zenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Zenga came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Costel Ţintă made the kick off in the second half. Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Scorpions -MM- from getting a goal against them. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Scorpions -MM- made a substitution. Octav Vătăşel replaced Dan Tinu. In the 65th minute Costel Ţintă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristian Sancho fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Cristian Sancho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Walter Zenga came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 75th minute. When Scorpions -MM-'s Costel Ţintă in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Walter Zenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81stth minute of the game Costel Ţintă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 83 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Luca Păun. After 84 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Giuverdea. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Uzuneanu in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Scorpions -MM- got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Traian Uzuneanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Scorpions -MM-'s Alex Vrânceanu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walter Zenga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Zenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Costel Ţintă notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Scorpions -MM-.
