Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Rafael Domeka tried to sneak it across the goal line. SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. Rafael Domeka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Domeka slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 13th minute Romeo Mel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Dominic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 19 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Dominic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Mel in the 21st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play forced SOUTH AFRICA's goalkeeper Romeo Dominic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Dominic. Romeo Dominic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Romeo Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Cristian Sancho heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Rafael Domeka tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 played minutes SOUTH AFRICA got a freekick which was hit by Cavit Sanay. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Romeo Dominic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. When SOUTH AFRICA's Rafael Domeka in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 张洲荣 in the 86th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romeo Dominic. That made the score 2-3 after 88 minutes of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Domeka in the 91st minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Dominic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save SOUTH AFRICA from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
