In the 3rd minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachariasz Weyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Howard Lovecraft came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Wertian S Salvinorins's corner Soner Şükür fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benito Sanz quite easily take care of the ball. Wertian S Salvinorins's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kamilo Glik in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Tscherner, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Olgierd Tscherner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Olgierd Tscherner scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute Olgierd Tscherner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wertian S Salvinorins's Zachariasz Weyna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Wertian S Salvinorins from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Wertian S Salvinorins's Olgierd Tscherner got a free kick in the 40th minute. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Kamilo Glik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. In the 47th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olgierd Tscherner was the one to do the kick off. Victorino Ado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. When Victorino Ado came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Wertian S Salvinorins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Ado couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Patryk Bartoszek fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 58th minute of the match Lautaro Puig shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zachariasz Weyna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Olgierd Tscherner scored 0-3 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Soner Şükür managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wertian S Salvinorins's supporters rose to their feet, but Soner Şükür was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Howard Lovecraft scored 0-4 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Soner Şükür kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Tscherner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olgierd Tscherner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Kamilo Glik walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the match was over Wertian S Salvinorins could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
