Ioan Papadima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd minute. Virgil Grama charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgil Grama the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GoooooooooooooooooooooooL getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Virgil Grama hit a great ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Patriciu in the 28th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ioan Papadima firmly grabbed it by the left post. 33 minutes into the game, Cristinel Patriciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Patriciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Joel Gaona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ioan Papadima. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play. Ioan Papadima was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The referee showed Luca Rouco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pavel Tăutu made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GoooooooooooooooooooooooL! GoooooooooooooooooooooooL:s Ioan Papadima showed great skill when he stopped Joel Gaona:s penalty. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Ioan Papadima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 57th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ioan Papadima was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ioan Papadima. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgil Grama was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mexico made a substitution. Jonathan Atenas replaced Felix Luque. Virgil Grama kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
