Elia Cirulli hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Jan-Joost Werner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustave Paelinck in the 15th minute of play. Jan-Joost Werner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Amancio Cambranes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Amancio Cambranes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Joost Werner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Durval Dracena struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roma Capoccia. A collision led to Roma Capoccia getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gustave Paelinck hit a great ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Joost Werner having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Elia Cirulli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roma Capoccia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Jan-Joost Werner, making the score, 1-1. With a little luck, Roma Capoccia's Jan-Joost Werner got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roma Capoccia's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Werner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrit Mortier in the 60th minute of the match. Jan-Joost Werner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 63rd minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Roma Capoccia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Luca Rouco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jan-Joost Werner in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 65th minute, Mexico's Luca Rouco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave Paelinck in the 68th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roma Capoccia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Roma Capoccia's Jan-Joost Werner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Roma Capoccia's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Werner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Roma Capoccia's Gerrit Mortier. But to his dismay, Gerrit Mortier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Roma Capoccia's Jan-Joost Werner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Roma Capoccia from getting a goal against them. After 93 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Joost Werner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Roma Capoccia throughout the match.
