Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Vassilis Batzis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Iraklis Vazakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenios Iordanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Manolis Dilberis got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Charis Psifidis. A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Mariano in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Αστέρας's Charis Psifidis. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vassilis Batzis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolis Dilberis kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Vassilis Batzis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Αστέρας's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Iraklis Vazakos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Batzis in the 91st minute of play. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Αστέρας were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
