Toro Halland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Halland in the 15th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dariusz Adamski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Toro Halland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 19th match minute, Centeno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Matai to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Bernabel's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After the first half Centeno were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Toro Halland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Ocampo charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Ocampo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great ball. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toro Halland's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Dacio having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Toro Halland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. When Gogo Clodio fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centeno's protests and gave Gogo Clodio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Centeno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Clodio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Esteban Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Esteban Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. If Toro Halland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Halland in the 81st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes in the game Victorio Matai did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eugenio Ixidor. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Halland, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Lautaro Navarro was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Eugenio Ixidor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eugenio Ixidor really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. A hard shot 94 in the game by Toro Halland from a close distance when the talented Lautaro Navarro managed to make a qualified save. Honduras's players were relieved. Centeno's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
