Jorge Magrina kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tome Campoamor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Abram Luque notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of VILLARREAL UNITED's Frodo Hernandez. Frodo Hernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frodo Hernandez but with some difficulty. Frodo Hernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 13th minute. Tome Campoamor struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLARREAL UNITED. The referee gave VILLARREAL UNITED a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Isidoro Mangas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. 1-1. Tome Campoamor might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tome Campoamor ran back to his position shaking his head. VILLARREAL UNITED's Turi Montaña managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Rubio in the 24 minute of the game. In the 25th minute Tome Campoamor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Leguizamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Mateo Leguizamo in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VILLARREAL UNITED's Iyan Flores. Cordaro Ramis hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Frodo Hernandez made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Abram Luque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frodo Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Iyan Flores threw the ball into play from the sideline. El Salvador's Luis Rubio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 69 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Frodo Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Arnalt Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frodo Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 83rd minute of the match. Iyan Flores recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Valentino Ferrant. VILLARREAL UNITED's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because El Salvador had won, even though VILLARREAL UNITED had held more of the ball.
