Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Zubizarreta in the 17th minute of play. After 24 played minutes Calaflores FC. got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Zubiaga. Barros Cifuentes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Víctor Valdés in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barros Cifuentes in the 37th minute of the match. Víctor Valdés made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 38th minute. Calaflores FC. were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dionisio Zubizarreta took the corner. The corner led to Calaflores FC.'s Barros Cifuentes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Orlando Casaus kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Calaflores FC.'s Dionisio Zubizarreta got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Calaflores FC. got a freekick which was hit by Aymerick Laporte. Víctor Valdés came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Coronel Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Calaflores FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Víctor Valdés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víctor Valdés showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Francisco Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coronel Paredes in the 65th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaskon Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Zubiaga in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Calaflores FC.'s Coronel Paredes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Guillermo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Víctor Valdés tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of play forced Calaflores FC.'s goalkeeper Víctor Valdés to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víctor Valdés took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
