Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes Atlético da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Linares. In the 13th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Natã Gerber. Atlético da Colina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Natã Gerber in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 played minutes Atlético da Colina got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Cunha. 30 minutes into the game, Atlético da Colina's Paulão Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 36 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Linares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético da Colina and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel Linares hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hernani Mello fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético da Colina's protests and gave Hernani Mello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético da Colina getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hernani Mello hit a great ball. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético da Colina's zone, Isidoro Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Gerber came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yan Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes, Atlético da Colina's João Paulo Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético da Colina reached it. Natã Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Natã Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Felipe Ros was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Paulão Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 played minutes Atlético da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Queirós. 78 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Atlético da Colina's Natã Gerber.
