İlhami Sungurbay made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. İSTANBULLS FC's İlhami Sungurbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of İlhami Sungurbay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute Ahmet Turan Üngörmüş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, İSTANBULLS FC's İlhami Sungurbay got control of the ball when Joel Gaona tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but İlhami Sungurbay made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in İSTANBULLS FC's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İlhami Sungurbay came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İlhami Sungurbay made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. İSTANBULLS FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Joel Gaona scored to the left of an out of position İlhami Sungurbay, making the score, 1-0. In the 37th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İlhami Sungurbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, İSTANBULLS FC's goalkeeper İlhami Sungurbay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. İlhami Sungurbay made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, İSTANBULLS FC's İlhami Sungurbay got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye İSTANBULLS FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. İlhami Sungurbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dursun Öztuna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İlhami Sungurbay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Dursun Öztuna came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlhami Sungurbay having to interfere. Zeki İncel's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeki İncel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, İSTANBULLS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeki İncel to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Lautaro Mancebo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but İSTANBULLS FC's İlhami Sungurbay did a great save. In the 85th minute, İSTANBULLS FC's Ahmet Turan Üngörmüş dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Turan Üngörmüş in the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute, İSTANBULLS FC's Nildo de Carvalho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nildo de Carvalho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of İSTANBULLS FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nildo de Carvalho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 95th minute, one of İSTANBULLS FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for İSTANBULLS FC. The İSTANBULLS FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mexico from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
