After 19 played minutes FURIA FIEL got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal de Moraes. In the 20th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Macedo skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, FURIA FIEL's goalkeeper Leopoldo Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 25 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Macedo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Leopoldo Macedo in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FURIA FIEL's goalkeeper Leopoldo Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ademir Fernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the FURIA FIEL defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Macedo. The FURIA FIEL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Macedo should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Leopoldo Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 58 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Macedo. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Macedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Macedo having to interfere. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Macedo. Leopoldo Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. 87 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Macedo. Horácio Custódio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
