After 2 played minutes Daniel Zorita rounded Atlético da Colina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Natã Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafinha Almeida hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Gerber having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Natã Gerber to make any attempt to save it. Natã Gerber made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 27 minutes, Rui Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético da Colina and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rui Cordeiro hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natã Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Natã Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Antonio Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Natã Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Yan Moura made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 57thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Julio Vera would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Natã Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Natã Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 67 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natã Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natã Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Atlético da Colina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Natã Gerber came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Natã Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
