Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 6th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Hori in the 7th minute of play. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damaso Monico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Club atlético boca junior defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damaso Monico. The Club atlético boca junior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damaso Monico should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of play forced Club atlético boca junior's goalkeeper Damaso Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, Club atlético boca junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Matia to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Damaso Monico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Facundo Cadaval had several of the Club atlético boca junior's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Damaso Monico as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 58th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 65th minute of play forced Club atlético boca junior's goalkeeper Damaso Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Club atlético boca junior's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Facundo Cadaval to a score. 0-4 in the 66th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Club atlético boca junior's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. In the 74thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club atlético boca junior's Damaso Monico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Damaso Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 79th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Chico in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Club atlético boca junior's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Damaso Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fidel Guib fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club atlético boca junior's protests and gave Fidel Guib a yellow card for diving instead. Fidel Guib hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Alvarez during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Club atlético boca junior:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. In the 96th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
