Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when MORPH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommi Van Der Meren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Mambru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Eguen in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, MORPH's Paulo Eguen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Eguen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Paulo Eguen sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute Paulo Eguen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to MORPH getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lilo Ramírez hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, MORPH's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Melquiades Mambru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Eguen might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Eguen ran back to his position shaking his head.

MORPH's Isidro Lano was substituted for Delmar Udalaitz. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carel Rokeloos in the 58th minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Melquiades Mambru made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Melquiades Mambru came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 59th minute. Melquiades Mambru made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Carel Rokeloos put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. A collision led to MORPH getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Zeledon Dorio hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Melquiades Mambru. MORPH's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Carel Rokeloos came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MORPH's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Mambru came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carel Rokeloos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Carel Rokeloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
