With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Okan Golovichev tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The Karapinar fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Karapinar's Okan Golovichev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Okan Golovichev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Karapinar's corner Çağdaş Ersayın fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Karapinar's Thad Castle was substituted for Okan Golovichev. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Karapinar got a freekick which was hit by Sertel Ankara. Marcus Mazza made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Karapinar's Marcus Mazza got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Karapinar's Thad Castle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thad Castle in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute, Thad Castle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Marcus Mazza threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Marcus Mazza made a huge save. Marcus Mazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Thad Castle notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Karapinar getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Camilo Palos hit a great ball. Camilo Palos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Karapinar's Camilo Palos got a free kick in the 95th minute. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Mazza having to make a save. The Karapinar support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
