Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Eguen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Mambru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Melquiades Mambru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Eguen in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Mambru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Paulo Eguen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MORPH fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 33 played minutes MORPH got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Estevez. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Mambru having to interfere. Daniel Zorita scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Mambru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, MORPH's Paulo Eguen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Celedonio Esquipula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MORPH's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Celedonio Esquipula hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. MORPH's Isidro Lano was substituted for Delmar Udalaitz. MORPH made a substitution. Carel Rokeloos replaced Paulo Eguen. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Mambru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Teo Paez hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Luis Andino was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Melquiades Mambru in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carel Rokeloos in the 73rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Carel Rokeloos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Melquiades Mambru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carel Rokeloos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Melquiades Mambru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carel Rokeloos in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MORPH's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ambrosio Estevez in the 95th minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
