Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vinicio Medina kicked off to start the match. Julian Gaueko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 27th minute Vinicio Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macho Madrigal, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. PUNTARENAS F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Virgilio Rojas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Mikael Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PUNTARENAS F.C's Virgilio Rojas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 44th minute of play. The PUNTARENAS F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Julian Gaueko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgilio Rojas.
