An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play forced Seed Town West's goalkeeper Einar Klysnov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Napier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Sven Herling hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Haroldo Napier came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. Germán Casado kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Quan Peng in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einar Klysnov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Napier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
