Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdi Mehmet Kayaer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Korkutalp Onkal however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play forced Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's goalkeeper Korkutalp Onkal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. 24 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Mehmet Kayaer came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sadikköy Erdoğan FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Korkutalp Onkal, was totally fooled by Mexico's Joel Gaona, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Korkutalp Onkal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sadikköy Erdoğan FK from getting a goal against them. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A throw-in in the 38th minute of the game was made by Leonardo Leoz with Lautaro Mancebo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 39 minutes into the match, Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's goalkeeper Korkutalp Onkal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdi Mehmet Kayaer to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sadikköy Erdoğan FK getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Fazıl Hüsnü Batı hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Korkutalp Onkal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 55th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Korkutalp Onkal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, Sadikköy Erdoğan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orbay Sadir to maneuver through the defense. Sadikköy Erdoğan FK made a substitution. Peyami Özarkın replaced Bilal Aynacıoğlu. In the 68th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Melih Şahan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 71 minute of the game. Korkutalp Onkal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Facundo Cadaval left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 89th match minute, Sadikköy Erdoğan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melih Şahan to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Korkutalp Onkal. Korkutalp Onkal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
