In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edwin Helwig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Mexico's Luca Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Helwig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Roland Kleiker fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beetje Moe Re-United's protests and gave Roland Kleiker a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Beetje Moe Re-United got a freekick which was hit by Roland Kleiker. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Edwin Helwig made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Edwin Helwig was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 3-0. Beetje Moe Re-United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Edwin Helwig, making the score, 5-0. Beetje Moe Re-United's Edwin Helwig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serge Schophuis was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edwin Helwig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Edwin Helwig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After 61 played minutes Beetje Moe Re-United got a freekick which was hit by Barry Zandberg. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla scored 6-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Helwig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edwin Helwig came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin Helwig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beetje Moe Re-United made a substitution. Ivo Mastebroek replaced Roger de Zaaijer. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Edwin Helwig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edwin Helwig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin Helwig in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Edwin Helwig didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin Helwig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
