Werneck FC - DMZ's Caetano Linares was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Emilio Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. When Emilio Machado came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Werneck FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Machado couldn't finish the play. Emilio Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 39 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Machado came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Machado during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emilio Machado hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Machado was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Emilio Machado could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Lautaro Navarro however easily saved by the left post. Laerte Porto got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Emilio Machado. Fu Ting Nan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werneck FC - DMZ. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Emilio Machado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-4. 71 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Machado. Emilio Machado made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 71stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Lautaro Navarro would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Emilio Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Werneck FC - DMZ's Luís Coutinho was substituted for Caetano Linares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Luz in the 95th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Werneck FC - DMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
