Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 19th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Bogdan Gopov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punta Alvear and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inocencio Frichoso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Venancio Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Godoy kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto got control of the ball when Camilo Franco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute, Inocencio Frichoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Punta Alvear fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inocencio Frichoso went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Heriberto came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Punta Alvear from getting a goal against them.
