Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Blixt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Vilgot Sandberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Cotilla. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 43rd minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Benjamin Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benjamin Blixt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
