The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorenzo Beckman was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prime Hock, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Justino Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justino Santos got free with Rolando Noboa in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lorenzo Beckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragons AFC's Lorenzo Beckman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Dragons AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. When Prime Hock got free in front of the goal in the 55th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rolando Noboa was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lorenzo Beckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dragons AFC's Valentin Elorri was substituted for Nicasio Gomesano. In the 71st minute of the game Melquiades Lico made a throw-in which Valentin Elorri played forward.
