Super Team's Hüseyin Kakisim got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Toader Purcărete in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Ciprian Romaşcanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Arias's late challenge caught a Super Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Arias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 70th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Toader Purcărete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Super Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toader Purcărete should have stopped the shot.
