Raul Venegas made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Penuel Football Club's Danel Ayllon. Penuel Football Club's Goren Alva managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jose Sanz in the 7 minute of the game. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veronica Vielva having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Veronica Vielva. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Veronica Vielva made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Veronica Vielva, 3-0. Penuel Football Club's Veronica Vielva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Veronica Vielva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Veronica Vielva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Covarrubias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 53rd minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Veronica Vielva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's Alan Campos got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes in the game Raul Venegas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Hector Covarrubias. Veronica Vielva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 62 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Veronica Vielva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Pardo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Veronica Vielva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Primitivo Escribano scored 5-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Veronica Vielva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Veronica Vielva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Veronica Vielva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Hector Covarrubias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Veronica Vielva was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Veronica Vielva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Veronica Vielva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veronica Vielva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute of the match Hector Covarrubias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Veronica Vielva skillfully saved the ball. There was no doubt that Paraguay were the better team. Paraguay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
