The Mount Penuel
Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Penuel Football Club's Matías Almeyda started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Veronica Vielva having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Danel Ayllon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penuel Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Danel Ayllon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 8th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Veronica Vielva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veronica Vielva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Penuel Football Club's Danel Ayllon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 14 minute of the game. Alexander Carballo made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Penuel Football Club's Jairo Patiño. In the 21st minute of the game Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in which Aaron Alcocer played forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veronica Vielva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Veronica Vielva saved Penuel Football Club from getting behind. Penuel Football Club's attentive Fe Lizaur managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Aaron Alcocer got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eliseo Noboa. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Penuel Football Club's Jairo Patiño quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 39th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Penuel Football Club's Fe Lizaur. Matías Almeyda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Penuel Football Club's attentive Jairo Patiño managed to snatch the ball when Abel Carballo made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. After 57 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Veronica Vielva was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Penuel Football Club's attentive Fe Lizaur managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. Veronica Vielva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliseo Noboa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 64 minute of play. Veronica Vielva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 67th minute. Veronica Vielva was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Axel Tasis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Tasis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Veronica Vielva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 88 minutes in the game Alexander Carballo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alan Moruga. Axel Tasis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Veronica Vielva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Costa Rica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Costa Rica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
