Cassius Byrne started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ruy de Brito hit a great ball. Dalmo Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Mcdonald's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Jenson Smith came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmo Saldanha was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Edward Mcdonald fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dalmo Saldanha quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Monty Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute Chico de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmo Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ruy de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Chico de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Cassius Byrne in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 46th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 47th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico de Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Jovens Democratas MZC defense, Cassius Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmo Saldanha. The Jovens Democratas MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmo Saldanha should have stopped the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Chico de Sousa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Khalid Parry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Saldanha having to interfere. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Sam Campbell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmo Saldanha was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 94th minute Khalid Parry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. USA fully deserved thier win.
