The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Brookman in the 7th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Rex Attenborough. 18 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Crouch came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Crouch in the 24th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Matthew Brookman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 29 minutes into the game, Egg Chasers FC's Damian Stonehouse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Damian Stonehouse scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damian Stonehouse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Peter Crouch scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Damian Stonehouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Crouch. In the 61st minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Egg Chasers FC's Matthew Brookman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rex Attenborough hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabien Barthez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Peter Crouch put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 73 minutes in the game, Rex Attenborough fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Jonny Wilkinson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Egg Chasers FC's Damian Stonehouse in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Stonehouse in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rdth minute of the game Damian Stonehouse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Egg Chasers FC's Joel Groom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 89th minute, Matthew Brookman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Brookman came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
