Niels Henning charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niels Henning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Putra Rewulu booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. The crowd rose to their feet as Uci Pakasi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-12 in the 71 minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onur Ali Tulun in the 74th minute of play. The Putra Rewulu fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Putra Rewulu's Hu Jie Rong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-13 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 80th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Onur Ali Tulun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Putra Rewulu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
