In the 11th minute of the match, Patricio Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Felix Condeescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Condeescu. Felix Condeescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Peretu City 09 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes in the game Salvador Gisbert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Patricio Costa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Felix Condeescu in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Condeescu having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Condeescu made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Felix Condeescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Felix Condeescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute. Felix Condeescu made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
