Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. With an all-out effort, Frontera AFC's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvestre Cisco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Naohiro Takahara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Silvestre Ciscos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Naohiro Takahara sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Silvestre Cisco made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of the match. A hard shot 28 in the game by Silvestre Cisco from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Palacio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustín Rossi. Agustín Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvestre Cisco got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Cisco to make the kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Palacio in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustín Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 63rd minute. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Rossi having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Frontera AFC's Silvestre Cisco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Naohiro Takahara came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Frontera AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naohiro Takahara couldn't finish the play. Changeez Zeballos hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Cisco's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Silvestre Cisco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvestre Cisco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Alan Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 84th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacio in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustín Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Frontera AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
